Consulting
Peer consultations are for fully licensed clinicians who feel stuck with clients and want to explore the dynamics of what’s going on in the therapy from a deeper lens.
This is done largely from a psychodynamic perspective. Some examples include delving into issues of attachment, relationship dynamics, setting boundaries, and specific diagnostic differentiation. It also includes the use of transference, countertransference, and enactments as it pertains to the therapeutic relationship.
Consultations are also a way of enlivening your work to remember why you became a therapist in the first place. It can allow fresh air to flow into the therapeutic container.
